Jim Anderson is a partner of Cattie & Gonzalez in Austin, Texas, a law firm with a national presence in the Medicare Secondary Payer arena. He was formerly the Senior Founding Member of Anderson, Crawley & Burke, pllc, in Mississippi, and retired from ACB in 2023 when he relocated to the Austin, Texas area to be near family. He is admitted to practice law in Texas, Mississippi, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a DRI, CLM, WILG, and the American Bar Association member. He served as Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Community for the DRI in 2021-2023. He is a Fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, is serving on its Board of Governors, and currently serves as Vice President. He is on the Board of Governors of Kids' Chance of Texas, Inc. and a former President of Kids’ Chance of Mississippi, Inc. He is past president of the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Educational Association, Inc. (MWCEA), and is the author of and senior editor of the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Claims Guide. Mr. Anderson is a frequent lecturer on Medicare Secondary Payer issues. He is an active participant in the Workers’ Compensation Institute in Orlando, Florida, where he co-chairs the National Workers' Compensation Review, offering national-level programming designed to inform at the intersection of law, medicine, claims, and industry. Mr. Anderson has carried Martindale Hubbell’s highest rating (AV) since 1990 and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1995. He has also been named Lawyer of the Year in Jackson, Mississippi, for Workers' Compensation Law, Employers, by The Best Lawyers in America, and in 2012, was named Lawyer of the Year by the Mississippi College School of Law for Outstanding Lifetime Achievement in the Legal Community.
